Any individual, legal entity, national or international organization operating businesses including services, import, and sale of all kinds of weighing scales in Lao PDR. They shall have the certificate of registration as well as the certificate of inspection issued by the Department of Standardization and Measurement before the operation. |

Service charges depend on the types of the scales such as Analog scales from 1,000 Kg or over, the service charge is 50,000 lak, and the Digital scales from over 10,000 Kg is 350,000 lak. Refer to Article 72 of the Ordinance No. 003/PO details as follow: 1. Mechanical scale: - From 5 kg and lower: 5,000 LAK/Unit - More than 5kg but less than 15 kg: 7,000 LAK/Unit - More than 15 kg but less than 50 kg: 10,000 LAK/Unit - More than 50 kg but less than 100 kg: 20,000 LAK/Unit - More than 100 kg but less than 1,000 kg: 50,000 LAK/Unit - From 1,000 kg and over shall be charged 10,000 LAK/1,000 kg 2.
