Who should complete this business formality?	Labour unit/enterprise obtaining a business operating license in compliance with the laws, and having employees working under its management.
Qualifications needed by the business to get the formality	Every enterprise obtaining a business operating license in compliance with the laws of Lao PDR.
Additional Comment	Any enterprise obtaining a business operating license shall be registered with the Social Security authority in accordance with the Social Security Law to ensure the protection of labour working under the labour unit and to ensure the security of the livelihoods of labour on the basis of the social security system in the case of in need of medical care, labour accidents or occupational diseases, childbirth, illness, working capacity loss, retirement, family allowance and unemployment in accordance with the conditions specified for each case. The employees shall be protected when they are registered with the social security unit by their employers. The employers shall provide the employees' personal information to the social security authority.
