Who should complete this business formality?	Any individual or legal entity that intends to establish an animal farm which is the area for raising animals for domestic and export sales.
Qualifications needed by the business to get the formality	The animal farm shall meet (i) general standards - the technical standards relating to the establishment and operation of the animal farm for example having sufficient farm components, farm management, animal feeds, water, human resources, animal health, environment as well as measures specified in the Decision; and (ii) specific standards - the technical standards specifically required for a specific type of animal, size and specific objectives of the farm.
Additional Comment	1. Department of Livestock and Fishery shall consider and approve the license for operating animal farms invested by the foreigners, or jointly invested by public and private sectors aiming for the improvement, production, and sales of the animal breeds; 2. The Provincial (Vientiane Capital) Department of Agriculture and Forestry shall consider and approve the license for the local and medium-scale farm; 3. The District Office of Livestock and Fishery shall consider and approve the license for the small-scale farm.
